Silence an open space, a place where time virtually stands still, this is Velddrif. Found along the West Coast of South Africa, in the Western Cape Province, Velddrif is a place of fishermen, beautiful beaches and bokkoms (sun dried and salted pilchards, a favorite of these parts)

Velddrif, and its immediate surrounding areas, is one of the few places left in South Africa where, almost immediately, one can feel the pull of an era not yet forgotten, a time when time chased no one and only Mother Nature, through the sea, wind and spectacular landscape had any effect of a person.
