Stanford, a quaint village in the Cape Overberg, Western Cape Province, South Africa. Situated on the banks of the Klein River, Stanford is on the coastal plain separating the mountains and the sea, about 90 minutes from Cape Town International Airport. The village is mid-way between the resorts of Hermanus, the Whale Capital of the world and Gansbaai, the Great White Shark diving capital of the world, on the Cape Whale Coast.

Places of interest include Stanford's own micro-brewery where they have many unique blends of beer on tap and also the Klein River Dairy's cheese shop which sells delectable Leiden and Gruyere cheeses. There are interesting little shops in Stanford which you will come across if you browse the streets and also art galleries and pottery studios.
