Said to be one of Cape Town’s wettest suburbs, Newlands lies about 15 minutes from the city centre, and is located on the eastern slopes of Table Mountain. It is a leafy suburb, sometimes referred to as the “green suburb, and virtually borders the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens.

Newlands is very much famous in the sporting community, as being the home of the Newlands Rugby Stadium and Newlands Cricket Stadium. Many an afternoon has been whiled away at the stadiums, while the spectacular views of Devils Peak can be seen over the tops of the old oak trees.
