A trendy area, accentuated by the bright colorful semi detached houses, De-Waterkant Village is, for all intense purposes a sub-district of the suburb of Green Point. With tree lined, and gobble stones paved, roads, De Waterkant offers visitor an resort type experience, where many restaurants, shopping malls, and other local entertainment centres are in walking distance. Many of the 18th century cottages, which have been restored to their former glory, are now guest houses.

Outside of the De Waterkant/ Green Point Area, one can easily get to the V&A Waterfront, the table Mountain Cableway and the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay.
